Tânia Tembe is a Mozambican actress, singer, songwriter, poet and advertising model, who rose to prominence when she starred in “Maida”, the first Mozambican telenovela.
Tânia Tembe, the protagonist of “Maida” was born in the great “ghetto” of Maputo, who from an early age launched herself in life looking for opportunities to be a model or actress. Between 2017 and 2019, she took her pretension to the extreme by participating in castings that led her to “Aquele Papo”, a series broadcast on social networks and on some television channels.

This has been the routine of TâniaTembe since October 2021, although the first episodes reached the public for the first time in January of this year. The rush has its reason for being, because while the viewer follows what has already been recorded, the actors document the episodes to be seen in a few weeks.
The telenovela was produced by Gabriela Gulamussen and Telma da Silva, and directed by Ivandro Mahocha.
It is mentioned that Tânia Tembe was forced to stop enrolling at the Polytechnic University, to wear “Maida”, in which the character carries the same characteristics in real life.
